Three weeks after Kroger announced it plans to pull out of Groveland, a CareerSource job fair is being held at the soon-to-be closed fulfillment center.

GROVELAND, Fla. – Groveland police are asking for help finding a woman last seen in Orlando who has been missing for more than a month. Lori Crumpton, 41, was last seen Feb. 26 in the area of West Colonial Drive and Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando, according to a news release. She is known to frequent Groveland, Mascotte, Leesburg and Orlando, officers said. AdCrumpton is homeless and does not own a vehicle, officers said. On Thursday, the Pring family said they had a bit of trouble with their dryer, which was blowing an excessive amount of lint. Over the weekend, the family said they sought the help of Sea Star Air and Appliances to fix the dryer. News 6 caught up with Cobble from Sea Star Air and Appliances and he said this was something he wasn’t expecting. This is not the first-time News 6 has talked with the Pring family. GROVELAND, Fla. – Amazon teamed up with the Florida Department of Health-Lake County to administer vaccines to seniors on Wednesday. Vaccinations took place via drive-thru on a first-come, first-served basis at the Amazon distribution site in Groveland, which reached capacity about 40 minutes before the event began. “This site is first come first served and it’s open until further notice,” Aaron Kissler with FDOH Lake County said. Magdalena Contreras and her husband, Juan, drove from Pasco County to Lake County Wednesday morning to get their first shots. GROVELAND – The City of Groveland didn't host a big Fourth of July celebration because of the coronavirus pandemic, but it did put on two dueling fireworks displays for residents to watch safely from their own homes. “In previous years, our tradition has been to gather for the best things the Fourth of July in Groveland has to offer: food, fun and fireworks,” Wilson wrote.
