Krispy Kreme is sweetening its support of people who are choosing to vaccinate themselves against COVID-19 with free doughnuts. Starting March 22, any guest who shows a valid COVID-19 vaccination card at any Krispy Kreme in the U.S. will receive a free Original Glazed doughnut. To help support health care workers and volunteers at vaccination sites, Krispy Kreme will be delivering free doughnuts to select sites throughout the country in the coming weeks. The “Be Sweet Dozen” includes the Original Glazed dozen with a special smiley-face doughnut. And that’s not all, every Monday between March 29 and May 24, Krispy Kreme will give each customer one free medium coffee and a free Original Glazed doughnut, no purchase necessary.

IHOP is canceling its National Pancake Day celebration or at least altering it. In years past, the restaurant chain has given away free flapjacks on Fat Tuesday, also known as Mardi Gras. Krispy Kreme is ready to celebrate the return of fall sports. On Friday, Sept. 25 only, Krispy Kreme locations will have $5 dozen glazed doughnuts for customers wearing sports team gear. Team gear includes anything from jerseys, t-shirts, hat, helmet, gloves, referee uniform, coaches shirt or team uniforms, the shop said on its website. Until Sept. 27, locations will have a limited time sports dozen which includes soccer balls, basketballs, baseballs and football-themed doughnuts. Sports-themed doughnuts are only sold as a dozen and not individually, Krispy Kreme noted on its website.

Cow Appreciation Day is moo-ving. Chick-fil-A announced it is postponing its annual bovine tribute because of coronavirus. Since 2005, the chicken chain has celebrated Cow Appreciation Day where it gives free food to people who dress up like cows. The holiday has typically been held in July. No new date has been announced, but Chick-fil-A says it’s postponed until people can gather and celebrate in person.

During the coronavirus pandemic, Pollo Tropical has been helping feed children with free lunch. The fast-food chain announced all 139 company-owned locations will continue to offer children ages 12 and under a free kids classic TropiChop and bottled water each weekday through the end of summer. The fast-food restaurant Wendy’s wants to give you free breakfast sandwiches for a year to help celebrate the launch of new breakfast items. The first 100 drive-thru customers at every Florida and South Georgia locations on Monday, March 2 will receive a breakfast coupon book that will score them a free breakfast sandwich each week for an entire year. The fast-food chain’s new breakfast items include the honey butter chicken biscuit and the breakfast Baconator. “Everyone will be able to experience the same Wendy’s flavors they know and love with this breakfast menu,” says Florida Division Vice President, Richard Hopkins. “We’re especially thrilled to reward our first customers in Florida and South Georgia with free breakfast sandwiches so they can enjoy the new menu all year long.”Customers must be 16 years or older to get the coupon book.

If you frequent the Costco food court for cheap hot dogs and pizza but you’re not a member, you aren’t going to be able to do that for much longer. Costco says buying items from the food court has always required a membership, they just haven’t enforced the rule until now. According to a Costco spokesperson, starting in March the warehouse chain will require you have to have an active membership with the store to visit the food court. It costs about $60 per year, but trust us it’s worth every penny!
