As Moore was being patted down, deputies said he repeatedly ignored commands to keep his hands out of his pockets. When deputies tried to place him in handcuffs, Moore tried to get pull away and run, records show. Two deputies managed to hold him on the ground but could not cuff him, according to the incident report. The man claimed he was not trying to run or resist, but rather give the gun — which he said was his uncle’s — to the deputies, records show. Jesus Armando Calle, 23, was shot and killed Jan. 3 during a party at an apartment complex on University Boulevard. AdMaurico Antonio Castro Jr. was arrested Thursday by Oviedo police on second-degree murder charges. “I’m at a party and I come back inside and my friend is on the ground shot in the (expletive) neck,” the other man said. He’s dying right now.”According to the update from the sheriff’s office, tips from the community helped them to arrest Castro.

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Authorities in Melbourne are investigating a fatal shooting after a man was found dead inside an apartment. Khiem Ba Trinh (Ken), 56, left, and Minh Nguyen (Tina), 47, right, were shot at their Mount Dora store on Nov. 30, 2020. Vicki Savage, 68, was found suffering from significant trauma on Oct. 1 after her brother and nephew were called to the home by her son, Adam Savage, 37. Vicki Savage’s brother called 911 saying his sister had been beaten and Adam Savage was “going crazy," having a “psychotic episode," according to a search warrant document. The suspect’s uncle told detectives Adam Savage has a history of marijuana use, which can sometimes trigger his seizures. On the evening of Sept. 30, a new prescription was picked up for Adam Savage from the pharmacy, records show. Prior to going to Vicki Savage’s home, GPS shows the mother and son stopped at Adam Savage’s home in Longwood.

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A 68-year-old woman was killed overnight Thursday at her home in Sanford and Seminole County deputies have arrested her adult son, charging him with second-degree murder. A spokesperson for the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said when deputies arrived they found the victim, Vicki Savage, dead. “They could see that she had suffered some significant trauma and based on that called 911,” Seminole County Sheriff’s Office public information officer Bob Kealing said. Deputies said Adam Savage was belligerent and not making sense when authorities arrived. Savage is charged with second-degree homicide and was booked into the Seminole County Jail before 1 p.m. Thursday, jail records show.

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – Two men were arrested Thursday on murder charges in connection to the June shooting death of a 27-year-old in Mount Dora, officials said. Lake County sheriff’s deputies said Tevin Williams died in the shooting, which occurred June 19. Benn told investigators that he was involved in Williams' shooting death, saying he and two others planned to rob Williams, the affidavit stated. Williams tried to drive away but Benn said he held the car door open and Murrell shot Williams, according to authorities. Benn and Murrell were later arrested.

Remains were found in March 2018 buried under a concrete slab and fire pit on Laurie Shaver’s property on Sandy Pines Road. Several months later, authorities positively identified the remains as Michael Shaver, her husband. Lake County deputies spoke to Laurie Shaver in early 2018 and she said she hadn’t seen him since 2015. Those friends and co-workers found this odd and did not think Michael Shaver would leave his children, according to the arrest affidavit. Laurie told her boyfriend Michael Shaver “wasn’t missing, he was no longer walking this earth," according to the arrest affidavit.

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orange County Sheriff’s Office dive team searched Lake Orlando on Tuesday for possible evidence linked to a homicide in Georgia, officials told News 6. The search took place along North Lake Orlando Parkway near Arbor Oaks Court in the Rosemont area. A detective at the scene told News 6 the search was related to a homicide. COCOA, Fla. The second person arrested in connection with the death of former Cocoa City Councilman James Wallen pawned the victims wedding ring with a custom inscription, according to the arrest report. Detectives arrested Matthew Inklebarger, 42, late Saturday in connection with the slaying. One of the items stolen was Wallens wedding band that included an inscription LLW 2 JAW and their wedding date 8/24/68. Detectives said the ring was taken off the victims finger and Poteet sold it at Cash America Pawn for $175 the same day of the burglary and homicide. Poteet told detectives she sold the ring and knew it didnt belong to her.

Those who knew Erin Hartigan, 44, said she was a devoted city planner and Orange County government attorney who will be missed by her family, friends and former and current co-workers. Hartigan also worked as an assistant county attorney for Lake County government beginning in 2008. Hartigan was working for the Orange County government as an assistant county attorney at the time of her death. Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings met with Hartigan’s mother Monday and described Hartigan as a “family member” within the county government. Erin will be greatly missed by many and we appreciate her four years of service as an Assistant County Attorney.

A man found dead in Geneva on Wednesday died of stab wounds and was likely moved and left on the road, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office. Jo’el Rashad Cosby, 30, of Sanford was found in the 800 block of Settlers Loop. The medical examiner later determined he was stabbed to death and he was the victim of a homicide. Investigators believe Cosby was killed elsewhere and his body was left on the Geneva road. ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County homicide detectives have arrested two men they believe are connected to a double-fatal shooting on Orange Blossom Trail earlier this month. The double-fatal shooting happened June 11 near the Raceway Motel in the 4700 block of North Orange Blossom Trail near John Young Parkway. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to an aggravated battery call and Orlando police officers informed them there were two victims with obvious trauma to their bodies. The man and woman were pronounced dead at the scene, deputies said. On Wednesday, Orange County homicide detectives arrested James Eckford Jr., 25, and Glen Johnson, 20, in connection with the case.

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 46-year-old man was arrested after investigators with the Orlando Police Department say he stabbed two men multiple times killing one after an argument over his behavior in front of women and children. The man inside the SUV, Craig Chavers, 46, told officers he had been shot, according to the report. The surviving victim told police he got into an argument with Chavers, after Chavers was urinating in public and being disrespectful to women and kids. That’s when the victim said Chavers stabbed him. The victim said he doesn’t remember what happened after he was stabbed, according to the report.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies arrested another person investigators say was involved in the death of a 71-year-old man who was found dead Saturday in an Orange County apartment. Nadia Wright-Robinson, 43, was arrested Thursday on a warrant for first-degree murder. According to Howard’s arrest report, deputies received a call around 9:30 a.m. Saturday about an injured man at the complex, located at 4919 W. Colonial Drive. They found the victim, Mahadeo Singh, 71, wrapped in bloody plastic bags, according to a report. Howard confessed to beating the victim in a 911 call, according to the report.

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk County authorities are investigating a double homicide, officials said. According to Polk County officials, the married couple had been deceased for some time. “Todd Jackson shot the two victims in the head as they slept at the crime scene,” officials said. Detectives arrested Jackson near his last known place of residence in the Wabash area of Lakeland on Saturday evening, officials said. He was expected to be booked into the Polk County Jail later Saturday night and had his first court appearance Sunday.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – As the family of a 27-year-old woman killed in a shooting Sunday is asking for the killer to come forward, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has announced a cash reward in hopes that someone knows something. On Monday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office announced a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the shooter. Lee’s family said they don’t believe she was the intended target. Lee’s stepfather said Orange County Sheriff John Mina called him directly about the case Monday. He said the sheriff said he’d be on the case and working to try and help the family get justice.

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies with the Lake County Sheriffs Office are investigating a double homicide at the intersection of County Road 437 and County Road 44A in Eustis. Deputies said around 3:20 a.m. Saturday a deputy pulled behind what he thought was a disabled vehicle on the side of County Road 437. When deputies walked up to the full-size pickup truck, they discovered two Hispanic males in the bed of the truck deceased. The victims have been identified as 26-year-old Jesus Pantoja and 13-year-old Christopher Gutierrez, both of Apopka. All he wanted to do was be able to provide for them, to give them a better life,” said Rodriquez.

OCALA, Fla. – A man was arrested on murder charges after a 24-year-old Ocala man was shot to death Tuesday night, according to police. Ocala police said Alton Wilkerson was arrested on a charge of second-degree murder in the death of Tyler Richardson. He was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center and later died, police said. When interviewed by detectives, Wilkerson was cooperative but could not give a reason for the shooting, according to authorities.
